Cadet Appointments and Promotions
Application and Selection
Cadets in years 3 - 5 should consider the various leadership opportunities that are available. As cadets progress through and complete their training and have applicable time in the current rank become eligible for promotion. However for year 4 and 5 in order to receive promotion you have an additional requirement to hold a position of leadership within the corps (minor leadership positions are also available for cadets in year 3 but not required for promotion). In the second half of the training year, the Administration Officer will complete an eligibility list of cadets that can apply for a leadership appointment. Cadets will be notified and will be required to complete the following:
1. Indicate their interest in a particular leadership position. Positions are listed by tier and have a Term of Reference (TOR) Note: Cadets can apply for positions in the other tiers and not all leadership positions may be applicable to the corps (may vary) speak with the Admin O.
2. Complete and submit a cover letter and resume to outline your experience.
3. Complete an interview process for a leadership appointment.
A panel of 3 or more individuals will conduct the interview phase. These results of the interview questions and their recommendations will be given to the Commanding Officer for consideration of an appointment. All interview results and offer of a leadership position will be reviewed directly with the candidates.
